Stitches of Kindness: Knitters & Crocheters Exhibition

On display in the Fashion Mall.

Every Friday morning, a dedicated group of knitters and crocheters gather at Sylvania Library, located within Southgate Sylvania Library, to create handmade items for people in need.

Their creations support a variety of local, national and international charities, including Dandelion Support Network, Wrap With Love, Knit4Charities, Sydney Children’s Hospital and The Sutherland Hospital. Through their generosity and skill, the group provides warmth, comfort and practical support to countless people.

This special exhibition showcases a collection of their handcrafted work and highlights the remarkable impact that can be achieved through community connection and creativity. Many of the beautiful pieces on display begin with a simple knitted square, demonstrating that people of all skill levels can contribute.

The group welcomes new members and donations of acrylic wool are always appreciated. Donations can be delivered to Sylvania Library during opening hours.

Come along and be inspired by the extraordinary kindness behind every stitch.
