Southgate is evolving, with a series for exciting upgrades and new retail experiences planned across the centre. As we continue to invest in the future of Southgate, we’re creating more choice, greater convenience, and an elevated shopping experience for you. Here is a look at what’s ahead.

A Bigger, Better Woolworths

We’re thrilled to welcome a brand-new, full line Woolworths store to Southgate in March 2027. Located next to Kmart, the new store will feature an enhanced shopping experience, expanded offerings and a fresh new look, providing you with even more variety and convenience.

Aldi is Coming!

We’re also very excited to welcome Aldi to Southgate in mid to late 2027, providing even greater supermarket choice and value for our community. We look forward to bringing another premier brand and fresh food and grocery offering to the centre.

Brand new customer amenities are now available, conveniently located near Australia Post. Additional amenities are planned to open in mid to late 2027, where Woolworths currently trade, further improving comfort and convenience throughout the centre.

Temporary women’s amenities are also currently available behind Del Rio during these works.

Kmart Refresh Complete

Kmart has recently completed its store refresh as part of Southgate’s ongoing transformation. Customers can now enjoy an updated shopping environment delivering an even better Kmart experience.

It’s not always easy navigating changes, but we do have some great news about the development which is helping drive social impact. Almost everything removed during construction is being recycled with less than 4% going to landfill. That is, out of every 30 bins of waste only 1 goes to landfill. Our recycling rate is consistently at 96% month on month.

Centre Management has Moved!

To better assist you, our Centre Management Office has relocated to a new, convenient location. You can now find us at the bottom of the travelators. Should you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on (02) 9522 8400.
