Congratulations to our Community Kickstart Grant recipient – Hopefield
We’re absolutely thrilled to share some truly exciting news! We’re pleased to announce that Hopefield has been chosen as the well-deserved recipient of the 2025 ISPT Community Kickstart Grant! They’ll be receiving a $10,000 grant to help them continue their incredibly important, community-enriching work.
Hopefield, a community-based charity rooted in Kirrawee and Cronulla,is dedicated to compassionately serving those experiencing vulnerability through trauma, disadvantage, poverty, distress, or isolation. They believe every individual matters, regardless of their circumstances, and they strive to show them that change is possible.
With the Community Kickstart Grant, they are excited to launch HopeHaven, a newly packaged initiative that provides a coordinated response to homelessness in the Sutherland Shire. HopeHaven will utilise a “Housing First” model, offering wraparound support, including meals, showers, laundry facilities, counselling, and intensive case management, to approximately 50 people over the next 12 months. The aim is to address the root causes of homelessness, empowering individuals to reclaim their lives, build a sustainable future, and contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate Sutherland Shire.
