Hopefield

HopeHaven

As Hopefield, a community-based charity rooted in Kirrawee and Cronulla, we are passionately dedicated to compassionately serving those experiencing vulnerability through trauma, disadvantage, poverty, distress, or isolation. We believe every individual matters, regardless of their circumstances, and we strive to show them that change is possible. With the Community Kickstart Grant, we will launch HopeHaven, a newly packaged initiative that provides a coordinated response to homelessness in the Sutherland Shire.linklink HopeHaven will utilise a “Housing First” model, offering wraparound support, including meals, showers, laundry facilities, counselling, and intensive case management, to approximately 50 people over the next 12 months. Our aim is to address the root causes of homelessness, empowering individuals to reclaim their lives, build a sustainable future, and contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate Sutherland Shire. This grant will enable us to make a measurable and lasting impact, transforming lives and building a stronger community for all.

Project Youth

Through Our Eyes

Project Youth, a South Sydney charity, is dedicated to ending youth homelessness, supporting over 4,000 young people aged 12-24 facing disadvantage and trauma annually. We offer trauma-informed programs to break cycles of homelessness through early intervention, transitional housing, and new opportunities. The Community Kickstart Grant will fund “Through Our Eyes,” an immersive, youth-led exhibition in the Sutherland Shire. This powerful exhibition, showcasing photography, film, and storytelling by young people with lived experience of homelessness, will be funded for creative workshops, materials, infrastructure, and marketing. It culminates in an “Act Wall” where visitors can pledge support, aiming to educate, inspire empathy, and drive real change by ensuring youth homelessness is no longer hidden, reaching over 3000 people.

Dandelion Support Network

Grow our Nursery Program

As Dandelion Support Network, a passionate grassroots not-for-profit, we firmly believe every baby and child deserves essential nursery items for a safe and nurturing start. Our dedicated team of staff and 100 incredible volunteers work tirelessly, partnering with like-minded agencies to make a profound difference for vulnerable families while championing environmental sustainability. With the Community Kickstart Grant, we will proudly provide at least 38 vulnerable families across Greater Sydney and the Illawarra with vital cots, bassinets, prams, car seats, and essential items like clothing and toys. This crucial funding will directly enhance children’s safety and well-being, significantly ease financial stress for families, and build resilience, empowering them to thrive, connect with their communities, and create brighter futures for their little ones.
